I'm pleased to have a fresh new drawing entitled External Factors in the exhibition called Between the River and the Sea. The show is being held in conjunction with the Geneva Forum, and takes its name from the description of marine estuaries, where both seawater and freshwater flow together. Estuaries form a dynamic ecosystem and are amongst the most productive natural habitats in the world. Likewise, this exhibition represents an artistic estuary of sorts. Up until the time I moved from Madison to Pittsburgh we ten artists met and shared our work, our aspirations, and our thoughts about what gives life meaning. We developed a place where our diverse "waterways" could meet, and mix.
This exhibition is a celebration of that process and the encouragement we have given and received from each other in community.
